What to expect in Sri Lanka 2022

Updated: Oct 9, 2022

Sri Lanka is safe. The beaches, natural beauty, cultural heritage, smiling, polite people are the same. Some time ago the regular guest wrote me: What suffering Sri Lanka needs? What shall I bring? And I didn t have anything in mind. Truth is we have everything but the prices are high like a sky for the most population in Sri Lanka. I am very grateful for returning guests!

The fuel pass was introduced yesterday. Can be purchased at Sampath Bank or Dialog stand at the airport or at any Sampath Bank branch. It is designated for visitors only but makes traveling almost limitless. We do have quota system. I still recommend the approved driver for the tour as he can get fuel from depots throughout the country.

There are electricity cuts. From 0 up to 2 hours 20 minutes in 2 slots, announced ahead. We used generator during the worse times.

"We simply need that country available to us, even if we never do more than drive to it's edge and look in". A part of Sir Lipton quote.

Give Sri Lanka a chance!
